Yay! New Friends!
If there’s one thing we love at Moonlit Jungle, it’s making new friends; especially the kind who are curious about reptiles and amphibians!
Moonlit Jungle is all about compassionate reptile and amphibian education, because let’s face it, these amazing animals get a seriously bad rap. But once you get to know them, you’ll see just how smart, gentle, quirky, and downright lovable they really are. Trust me… I live with so many snakes, lizards, and amphibians that my house is basically a jungle in the suburbs.

Hi, I’m Erin!
Your resident amphibian enthusiast, reptile nerd, and all-around herpetology educator.
My obsession with misunderstood animals started early. At age three, I rescued a badly injured bullfrog and I’ve never looked back. By my teen years, I was secretly bringing home snakes and dragging my family to every zoo, nature center, or wildlife show I could find. Eventually, I turned that lifelong fascination into something bigger: years of hands-on rescue, rehabilitation, and education.
Today, I care for a large and diverse group of reptiles and amphibians (many of them rescues) and I use that experience to help others understand what these creatures truly need to thrive.
Why Moonlit Jungle?
Moonlit Jungle exists because I believe anyone can be a herpetology enthusiast. You don’t need to have a science degree or be the “stereotypical reptile person” to love and care for these animals. You just need curiosity, compassion, and a little bit of guidance.
And that’s where I come in.
Through fun, hands-on, in-person classes, I bring reptiles and amphibians into classrooms, Scout meetings, homeschool groups, and events, making science come alive and helping kids (and adults!) build a lifelong appreciation for the cold-blooded critters so many people overlook.
